- 2nd Runner-Up
Our Activities / Highlights / Achievements
Regent Football Club (RFC) has lived up to its name as the school’s niche sport this year by clinching 3rd in the B’ Division West Zone Football Championships and qualifying for the Nationals Football Championships for the B Division Boys. The C Division boys also qualified for the Nationals. This impressive feat was achieved after months of intensive training sessions largely focused on technique and teamwork. Our coach Mr D Tokijan has played a crucial role in making these achievements possible.
A few camps were held in late 2015 and 2016. In November last year, the boys went to Malacca for an overseas camp and they they played 2 friendly matches there against a school football team and a club. In June, members from Secondary 1 to 3 participated in a memorable 2 day-1 night camp. The boys got to take part in a fun session of bowling and they also got to take part in night cycling as a team-bonding activity. With such a line-up of events and camps, the RFC members are consistently engaged in positive experiences.
Three players from the B division team, Muhd Danial, Muhd Haikal and Nur Halim were selected to represent the Singapore Combined School Team, and played against other ASEAN schools in South Korea.
As a whole, RFC, including the recreational team members, have shown positive discipline and commitment to the CCA.
