To develop “Learners and Leaders with Self-Discipline”. To achieve this, the school deploys the Discipline Framework of Support, Teach and
Exercise and Redirect. Regent Secondary also adopts a Restorative Practice (RP) approach in handling cases to allow students to take ownership of their actions.
Discipline is a Shared Responsibility in Regent Secondary School. The Level Team comprising of School Leaders, Key Personnel, Assistant Discipline Masters and Form teachers look into the behavioral aspects of the students. In order to maximize the potential in every child, the discipline committee works closely with the school’s Full Time School Counsellor, AEDs for Learning and Behavioral Support, external agencies and parents.
The main highlights for the discipline programmes in Regent for 2014 include the Smoking Cessation Programme and Time Out Programme which is conducted by our in house staff. Regent Secondary School also works closely with Choa Chu Kang NPC for community programmes such as joint patrols, roadshows and Police Talks.
