Sec 1 Orientation Camp
On the very first week of school, we had the Secondary One Orientation Programme. For the first two days, my class was introduced to our Orientation Camp leaders or OCLs in short. Our OCLs were there to facilitate the camp and were really friendly and approachable. They made me feel very welcomed and I was at ease in the new school environment almost immediately. They organised several exciting games for us. My class had an amazing time. I was really fascinated to get to know more people through the fun-filled activities. We learnt several campfire songs and we created our very own class cheer and dance. Even though we were not exactly natural dancers like our OCLs, my class and I shared a lot of laughs as it was great fun to dance and enjoy one another’s company. During the campfire showcase, we were treated to a variety of performances put up by the Sec 1 students.
These activities helped us to strengthen our bond and I certainly loved interacting with my peers. Overall, it was a fun and meaningful experience. This memorable experience allowed us to work together as a team and bond through fun play. By Summer Chia (Sec 1-3)
